Malin Krastev

Born on April 23, 1970, in Sofia, he graduated in Acting from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (NATFA) “Krastyo Sarafov” in 1995 and has since been actively involved in theater and film productions.

Krastev is well-known for his roles at Theatre 199, the Youth Theatre “Nikolay Binev”, and the “Tear and Laughter” Theatre. Additionally, he was the host of the popular TV show Gospodari na Efira (“Lords of the Air”) and teaches acting.

Beyond his extensive theater career, Krastev has made a significant mark in Bulgarian cinema. He is best known for his role in the critically acclaimed film The Good Driver, for which he received the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers’ Vasil Gendov Award for Best Leading Actor.

Malin Krastev is also the recipient of the “Ikar” Award for Best Playwright in 2016 for his play The Family Album and has directed numerous successful theater productions. He continues to be active in cinema, television, and theater, leaving a lasting impact on Bulgaria’s cultural scene.
