
Prof. Evelina Kelbecheva is a lecturer in the “History and Civilization” department of the American University in Bulgaria – Blagoevgrad. She has published works on Bulgarian history, focused on the communist period. Her interests include Bulgaria in the post-liberation period until the First World War, the history of the Bulgarians between the two world wars, the Cold War in the context of the Balkans and Bulgaria, the transition after 1989, etc. In 2013, she took part in the lectures and presentations at the US Library of Congress, the Bulgarian Embassy in Washington, Harvard, Princeton and Columbia Universities.
